LCD Panel
Preliminary Steps
Before you begin, remove the following:
• Battery
• Top case
• Display panel assembly
• Display rear housing
• Bezel holder (if present—see Clutch Cover and Diversity Board chapter)
• Inverter board (must disconnect inverter cable to LCD)
• Clutch cover and diversity board (optional)
• LVDS cable (must disconnect from LCD panel)
Procedure
Warning: Handle the LCD panel by the edges only. To avoid damage, pooling, or
white spots, do not press on the front or back of the LCD panel.
1. Position the display face down on a clean soft cloth.
2. Remove the two screws from both sides of the display.
3. Remove the four screws at the top of the display.
