Placing Documents for Bypass
Feeding
When scanning a thick document one page at a time or scanning a
document that has multiple pages fastened together, set document
feeding to bypass. This enables the placed document to be scanned
without the pages being separated, regardless of the number of
pages.

Set the feed selection lever and the eject selection lever.
Set the feed selection lever to the bypass position (upper
position). The feed selection indicator will light orange.
Set the eject selection lever to the straight path position ( ).

Adjust the document guides to fit the width of the
document.
