High gloss film is
soiled with black ink
at a high resolution
Black ink on high gloss
film does not dry easily,
When you print solid black areas at a high
resolution (720 x 720 dpi)—such as in
reversed characters—on high gloss film,
black ink may adhere to the printed lines. If
this happens, select Photographic Quality as
Print Quality in the Quality dialog box/tab. If
this does not solve the problem, try to
increase the brightness of black in the
Graphics dialog box or Graphics & Color tab.
Printing is slow Printing options may
be too complicated,
Try to set all printing options to their default:
360 x 360 dpi, High Quality Text.
These print options affect the printing speed
as follows:
Dots per Inch—Printing at a lower resolution
(180 x 180 dpi) is faster and at a higher
resolution (720 x 720 dpi) is slower.
Print Quality—High Speed (Text &
Graphics) is the fastest, and High Quality
Graphics is the slowest.
Try changing these settings.
Paper does not feed
correctly
You may not have
selected the Paper
Source that is suitable
for your media type.
When you print High Gloss Film or heavier-
weight print media, be sure to select Manual
Feed as the paper source.
