222 Web-Based Switch Management

protocol will be used to interpret
received RIP packets. Disabled
prevents the reception of RIP
packets.
Password
A password to be used to
authenticate communication
between routers on the network.
Authentication
Toggle between Disabled and
Enabled to specify that routers on
the network should us the Password
above to authenticate router table
exchanges.
OSPF
MD5 Key Table Configuration
The MD5 Key Table Configuration menu allows the entry of a
16 character Message Digest − version 5 (MD5) key which can
be used to authenticate every packet exchanged between OSPF
routers. It is used as a security mechanism to limit the
exchange of network topology information to the OSPF routing
domain.
MD5 Keys created here can be used in the OSPF Interface
Configuration menu below.
