Recovery from EX_EWSTOT: If horctakeover failed with [EX_EWSTOT], recover as follows:
1.
Wait until the SVOL state becomes “SVOL_PSUS” by using the return code of “pairvolchk
-g <group> -ss” command, and try to the start-up again for the HA Control Script.
2.
Make an attempt to re-synchronize the original PVOL based on SVOL using “pairresync -g
<group> -swaps -c <size>“ for a fast failback operation.
If this pairresync operation fails with [EX_CMDRJE] or [EX_CMDIOE], there will be a cause
of ESCON link down and/or site failure.
If this operation fails, then HA Control Script reports the following message: ”After a
recovery from failure, please try ‘pairresync -g <group> -swaps -c <size>‘ command.”
To avoid above recovery steps, a timeout value should be a greater than (or equal) to the
start-up timeout value for the HA control script.
