and devices, such as:
• Communications adapters for 25/155 Mbps ATM, ISDN, Token-Ring,
10/100 Mbps Ethernet, FDDI, X.25, SDLC, and asynchronous
environments
• Graphics accelerators for 8-bit entry 2D, 24-bit true-color 2D, production
quality 3D, and high-performance 3D graphics

A.4.1 Storage Devices
By using common industry storage interfaces, the Model 140 enables
attachment of many available storage devices. In addition to the popular and
widely-used SCSI-2 interfaces, the Serial Storage Architecture (SSA) and
Ultra SCSI storage interfaces are supported. SSA disks deliver outstanding
performance for transaction-intensive applications and offer redundancy
features to help keep your data safe. Ultra SCSI disks offer significant
improvements in data transfer rates over traditional SCSI to provide the
performance required by many popular e-business data-intensive
applications.
A.4.2 AIX Operating System
The computing power of the Model 140 is strengthened by its operating
system. AIX Version 4 adds real value over other UNIX operating systems in
terms of reliability, availability, and system management. It also offers
exceptional scalability with the multi-tasking, multi-user functionality for
RAM (Memory) Up to 768 MB
Internal disk storage Up to 27.3 MB
External disk storage Up to 291 GB SCSI-2; Up to 873.6 GB SSA
