computertoenterstandbymode,“closethelidofportable
computer”,“pressthePowerSwitch”,or“pressthecomputer
sleepbutton”.
2.1.5Hibernationmode
Hibernationmodesuspendsthesystemharddisk(STD).Thisuseful
facilitysavesallthedatainmemoryandvideomemorytothehard
disk. The next time you turn on the computer, the pervious state
will restore.If you areusing Microsoft WindowsXP orWindows
2000 operating systems, you only need to enable this facility
throughStart‐>ControlPanel‐>PerformanceandMaintenance‐>
PowerOptions‐>Hibernation.
Underhibernationmode,thesystemdatasavestotheharddiskand
thecomputershutsdowntoreducethepowerconsumption.After
