Port setting information
Enable/Disable
Indicates if this port is “Enabled” or “Disabled.”
Port Transmission Speed
Indicates the transmission speed status as 100M-Full, 100M-Half, 10M-Full, or 10M-Half.
FDX Flow Control
Indicates if the FDX flow control of this port is “Enabled” or “Disabled.”
Port Type
Indicates that the port type for this port is Auto, MDI, or MDIX.
Using SNMP
EDS supports three SNMP protocols. The available protocols are SNMP V1, SNMP V2c, and
SNMP V3. SNMP V1 and SNMP V2c use a community string match for authentication, which
means SNMP servers access all objects with read-only or read/write permissions using the
community string public/private (default value). SNMP V3, which requires you to select an
authentication level of MD5 or SHA, is the most secure protocol.. You can also enable data
encryption to enhance data security.
