TO TURN THE HANDSFREE FUNCTION ON/OFF
To turn the handsfree function on during a telephone
conversation, press the

the display. To turn the handsfree function off, press the same
key again.

SING
ADDITIONAL
DEVICES
On the fax machine, in addition to the cordless phone supplied,
you can record up to 4 additional compatible cordless phones.
The additional cordless phones enable you, for example, to
make an internal call with another cordless phone while a
third cordless phone is making an external call.
In addition, on each cordless phone, you can choose up to 4
base units, thus expanding the overall coverage of the cordless
phones. Each base unit forms a radio cell.
NOTA
To set up and/or use additional cordless phones and base
units, see the corresponding manuals.
TO REGISTER ADDITIONAL CORDLESS PHONES
If you have another cordless phone conforming to the
DECT (Digital European Cordless Technology) and
GAP (Generic Access Profile) standards, you can
register it on the fax machine and use the basic
telephone functions offered by these standards.
Start the procedure on the fax machine:
1. On the fax machine, hold pressed for about two
seconds the key:
The display shows:
REGISTRATION
PLEASE WAIT
Then continue the procedure on the cordless
phone:
To record the fax machine on an additional cordless
phone, see the manual provided with the latter. To
register the base on the cordless phone provided with
the fax machine (if the registration is lost), proceed as
follows:
1. Be sure that the fax machine display shows:
REGISTRATION
PLEASE WAIT
Then, on the cordless phone, press the upper or lower
part of the key
until the display shows:
REGISTRATION
2. Press function key F3:
The display shows:
REGISTER BASE
3. Press function key F3:

4. To select the number that corresponds to the base
you want to register, press the upper or lower part of
the key:
5. To confirm your choice, press function key F3:
The display shows:
SEARCH FOR BASEX
"X" corresponds to the number selected in step 4.
6. Once the base has been identified, the cordless phone
prompts you to enter its PIN: type the PIN on the
keypad of the cordless phone (the PIN set by default
is "0000"). Then press function key F3:
A confirmation message appears on the display with
the number attributed to the base.
TO SELECT A BASE UNIT
1. On the cordless phone, press the upper and lower
parts of the key
until the display shows:
REGISTRATION
2. Press function key F3:
