11.4 Remote Monitor Panel
As an option, you can install Remote Monitor Panels (RMPs) to monitor the
operation of the Parallel Capacity/Redundant system from virtually any location
within your facility, up to 500 feet from the SSBM. Each RMP contains backlit
status indicators and a local horn. You can flush-mount or surface-mount an RMP
on a desktop, wall, or wherever you have a serial interface line. A maximum of two
monitoring accessories (RMPs, Relay Interface Modules (RIMs), or Supervisory
Contact Modules (SCMs)) can be installed. See Table 11---1 for the number of
accessories permitted. Figure 11---1 shows a n RMP.
