Ejecting a cartridge or magazine
To eject the magazine from the autoloader, press the Eject
button. If a cartridge is in the drive, the LCD display shows the
message “EJECT? PRESS ENTER”. Press the Enter button,
and wait for the following events to complete:
1. The tape rewinds to the beginning-of-partition (BOP)
mark.
2. If the tape cartridge is not write-protected (read-only), the
operating system writes the updated copy of the tape log
back to the tape.
3. The tape rewinds to the beginning-of-media (BOM) and is
unthreaded.
4. The changer places the cartridge back into the magazine.
5. The magazine is ejected.
If there is no cartridge in the tape drive, the magazine is
ejected without delay.
