Storing area codes and
access codes
You can also store an area code or
access code in a Rapid Key or Speed
Dial number. To use this number to
dial, see Chain Dialling in Chapter 5,
Making Telephone Calls.
Note: An area code or access code
stored in a Rapid Key or Speed Dial
number can only be used if the
handset is lifted or the SPEAKER
key pressed before dialling.
Clearing numbers

Press these keys:

Return to Step 3 to store another
number, or press STOP to exit. If
the number will be used for Rapid
Key Dialling, you can write the
name on the appropriate Rapid
Key label.

Enter the name of the party by
pressing the number keys as
shown in the chart below. Up to 20
characters can be entered.
If you don't want to enter a name,
skip this step.
To enter two letters in succession
that require the same key, press
the SPEAKER key after entering
the first letter to advance the
cursor.
