provider Network

TheRavenusesyourcellularproviderasanISP(Internet

ServiceProvider)toconnectyoutotheInternet.

Steps of a connection:

1. WhenyourRavenispoweredon,itautomaticallysearches

forcellularserviceusingEDGE.

2. YourRavenestablishesaPPP(PointtoPointProtocolor

“dial”upconnection)linktotheyourcellularprovider

network,alsocalledregisteringonthenetwork,and

receivesanIPaddress.

3. WhenyourRavenhasreceiveditsIPaddressfromyour

cellularprovider,aconnectiontotheInternetorthe

cellularnetworkisalsoavailableforacomputerorother

deviceconnecteddirectlytotheRaven.
