If you forget your password
If you forget your password, you have no option but to delete it. Note, however, that deleting a forgotten
password also deletes all entries and records marked as Private. Avoid this by synchronizing with your
computer before deleting a forgotten password. This restores your private records at the next HotSync
®
operation.
1 Tap Lost Password in step 3 above.
The Delete Password dialog box appears.
2 Tap Yes.
Your password and private records are deleted.
Private records
In all basic applications except Expense, you can make individual records private. Private records remain
visible and accessible until you select the Security setting to hide all private records.
You can mask or hide your private records. To view the masked or hidden records again, you need to enter
the password.
To mask or hide private records, proceed as follows:
1 Rotate the Jog Dial™ to select Security.
Alternatively, tap the Security icon in the Application Launcher screen.
The Security screen appears.
2 Tap the down arrow next to Current Privacy to choose one of the following:
Mask Records: Masked records appear as grey placeholders with a lock symbol.
Hide Records: Hidden records disappear completely from the screen.
3 Tap OK.
