(3) Connect the external signal terminal block as desired. Refer to Section 2.4 and Figure
2.10 for functional description. 14 AWG (2mm
2
), or less, shielded conductor is
recommended.
1. Confirm that all UPS internal contactors (breakers) "CB1", "CB2", and "CB3"
are open before energizing UPS.
2. UPS power terminals are supplied with stud type fittings.
It is recommended that compression lugs be used to fasten all input/output power
cables.
6. Procedure for Cable Connections for Parallel Operation System
(1) Confirm the number of units to be connected in parallel. Identify the input/output power
terminal blocks and control wire connections for parallel operation systems as shown in
the appropriate Figures 3.6 and 3.7.1 – 4.
(2) Connect the external control wire and power wire.
Use Ethernet STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) Cable for all communication cabling.
Use of UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) Cable may cause a malfunction.
a.) Control wire connection
Parallel configuration wiring (Refer to Figure 3.6 and 3.7.1 – 4)
- 52L control signal from Toshiba Tie Cabinet (TTC) to UPS-n IOAU-09 (TN1–
5 , 6).
a.1) 80-225kVA
- Parallel control signal for CN94 as shown in Fig. 3.7.1.
- Parallel control signal for CN96 and CN95 as shown in Fig. 3.7.1.
a.2) 300-750kVA
- Parallel control signal for CN941, CN942, CN943, CN944, CN951, CN952,
CN953, CN954 as shown in Fig. 3.7.2 – 4.
- Parallel control signal for CN96, CN97, CN98 and CN99 as shown in
Fig. 3.7.2 – 4.
b.) Power wire connection
