Pause Key
When you are dialing to an outside line via a PBX, it may take
a moment or two to be connected after dialing an access digit
(e.g. “9”).
In this case, press the key to enter a pause after the
“9”. This enters a pause before the remainder of the number
is dialed.
This key is used to send a tone signal, for example, to access
information services such as fax on-demand system, voice
menus, etc.
If you are using dial pulse (DP) dialing, the last number entered
after pressing the key becomes a tone signal.
