Specify the Relay Host
To specify the Relay Host, provide either the IP Address or a DNS name for the Log Relay Host as
parameters to the "set log relay-host" command as shown below.
• To specify an IP address for the syslog server:
set log relay-host
IP_Address_Of_LogRelayHost
Where
IP_Address_Of_LogRelayHost
is the IP Address of the Log Relay Host.
For example:
USR5453-AP#
set log relay-host 10.10.5.220
• To specify a Host Name for the syslog server:
set log relay-host Host_Name_Of_LogRelayHost
Where
Host_Name_Of_LogRelayHost
is the a DNS name for the Log Relay Host.
For example:
USR5453-AP#
set log relay-host myserver
Specify the Relay Port
To specify the Relay Port for the syslog server:
set log relay-port
Number_Of_LogRelayPort
Where
Number_Of_LogRelayPort
is the port number for the Log Relay Host.
For example:
USR5453-AP#
set log relay-port 514
Review Log Settings After Configuring Log Relay Host
To view the current log settings:
USR5453-AP#
get log

Note
If you are using Instant802 Conductor, the Repository Server should receive the syslog messages
from all access points. In this case, use the IP address of the Conductor Repository Server as the
Relay Host.
