Chapter 5 Additional Operations from the Printer Menu
5.1
Introduction
The printer control panel’s menus enable the user to perform the following major
tasks:
(On the 6030/6050 Wide Format)
Set up the system parameters using the [SYSTEM PARAMETERS] submenu.
Set up the communication parameters using the [PORT SETTING] submenus.
Print a test print using the [TEST PLOT] submenu.
Manage the job log and the error log using the [JOB LOGGING] submenu.
Reprint the latest print job using the [OFFLINE PLOT] submenu.
Display billing meter information using the [BILLING INFO] submenu.
Set up the media using the [PRINT SETUP] menu.
The procedures for setting up the system parameters and the communication
parameters have been covered in previous chapters. This chapter will describe
the procedures associated with the latter five capabilities in the above list.
(On the 6050A)
Set the language and date format using the [Localization] submenu.
Set up the TCP/IP settings as well as the dat/time and power management
timers using the [System Settings] submenu.
Print a test print, shut down the 6050A and check the billing meters using the
[Utilities] submenu.
Enable/disable rolls and trays using the [Print Setup] submenu.
Configure the proper type, weight, series, and trim of each roll in the [Media]
submenu.
The [Fuser] submenu, while present in the UI, does not affect the
configuration of the 6050A in any way, shape, or form.
