change the selection to

network (LAN)”

Local area network Internet configuration

box, uncheck the box
“Automatic discovery of proxy
server”

A dialog box asks if you want to set up an email account. Click

Windows 98/Me/2000 users: Be sure to uncheck the box that
says
“To connect to the Internet immediately, select this
box….”
