This dialog box is accessible to the user in the
Network Settings screen as a separate line item
within the Installed Network Software list box. Refer
to Figure 3-7.

a Set debugAPI to

(default).
The debug option is used as a troubleshooting aid
for the 3C971-F adapter. If you experience
difficulty in establishing connections with other
nodes in the network, setting the debug option to
ON
produces special messages from the driver
to assist in isolating the problem.
b Set RegisterLecs to
ON
(default).
In future implementations that support the LAN
emulation server (LES), this item enables or
disables whether the “well-known” address of the
LAN emulation configuration server (LECS) is
registered or not. As of this release of the
adapter, the setting has no effect upon the
adapter or the operation of the LAN emulation
clients.
c Set UniRev to
UNI30
(default) or to
UNI31.
This item identifies the UNI level of the signaling
software driver being installed. The UNI30 setting
specifies UNI version 3.0. If your ATM switch
supports UNI version 3.1, use UNI31 as the entry.
