Printing on thick paper, labels and card stock
■ Do not use damaged, curled, wrinkled, or irregularly shaped paper.

■ We recommend that you use paper that is made for laser printers.
■ Use paper that can withstand intense heat; the interior of the printer reaches very high temperatures
while printing.

■ Before you print paper with holes, such as organizer sheets, you must fan the stack to avoid
paper jams and misfeeds.

■ Do not place the punched holes of organizer sheets near the actuator (paper sensor).
■ Do not use organizer sheets that are stuck together. The glue on them might cause damage to
the printer.
■ Do not put different types of paper in the paper tray at the same time because it may cause paper
jams or misfeeds.
■ Do not print thick paper, labels or card stock using duplex printing.
■ For proper printing, you must choose the same paper size from your software application as the
paper in the tray.
■ See What kind of paper can I use? on page 1-5.
