Open the upper cover.
z To avoid soiling your hands or damaging the printer, never touch any part inside
the printer unless instructed to do so.
z If the cutting area is dirty, use a damp cloth to clean the cutter unit before starting
the procedure to replace the cutter blade.

While pinching the cutter blade at the grips, pull the cutter blade off
from the cutter unit.
z To avoid personal injury from a cut, never touch the blade (a) after removing the
cutter blade.
