Installing and Removing AIMs
Accessory Kit to Use
To install the AIM2-CUE-K9 and the AIM2-APPRE-104-K9 modules in a Cisco 2811, Cisco 2821, or
Cisco 2851 router, use the 2 M3.0 screws, the hex standoffs, the hex standoff with the band, and the M2.5
screw in the 69-1870-01mounting kit. You can discard any other parts in the kit.
Installation Procedure
To install an AIM2-CUE-K9 or AIM2-APPRE-104-K9 in a Cisco 2811, Cisco 2821, or Cisco 2851
router, follow these steps.
Note
If the mounting hardware is already in place on the system board, or if you are replacing an existing AIM,
skip Step 2 and Step 3.
Step 1
Locate the AIM connector.
Step 2
Remove the three screws from the system board near the AIM connector that you are going to use.

Figure 26 shows the screws to remove for AIM installation in AIM slot 0.)
