12-Port 10/100-TX Module
This section covers the LEDs on the 12-Port 10/100 TX Module, displayed in
Figure 14. The meaning of the LEDs is displayed in Table 7: 12-Port 10/100-TX
Module LEDs.

Link
The Link LED indicates there is a link at the port. If a cable is plugged into the
port and the Link LED is off, check the cable and connection. The default value is
that all ports auto-negotiate the proper speed and duplex mode. If the port has
been manually configured for a particular speed and duplex mode, verify that the
speed and duplex mode of the port match the speed and duplex mode of the
device you are connecting to. The LED will be steady at orange or green when
there is no activity.
The color of the Link LED indicates the port’s speed. Orange indicates the port is
operating at 10 Mbps. Green indicates the port is operating at 100 Mbps.
Duplex
The Duplex LED indicates the duplex mode the port is in. Each port can be set for
a particular speed and duplex mode. Off indicates the port is in half duplex mode.
Green indicates the port is in full duplex mode. Full duplex means the port is
transmitting and receiving data simultaneously. Half duplex means that data is
only being transmitted or received in one direction at a time.
