Even with additional memory installed, complex pages don’t print
and the Mem Overflow message still appears.
The Page Protect setting in the printer driver or SelecType may
need to be changed.
You may not have enough memory installed. If you are printing
at 600 dpi, printing at 300 dpi may solve the problem.
Other Problems
The display panel stays blank when you turn the printer on.
Turn off the printer and check the power cord connections
between the printer and the electrical outlet; then turn the printer
back on.
If the electrical outlet is controlled by an outside source such as a
wall switch, make sure the switch is turned on, or plug another
electrical device into the outlet to check whether the outlet is
operating properly.
The On Line light is on but nothing prints.
Your computer may not be properly connected to the printer.
Refer to the connecting instructions in the
Hardware Setup Guide
.
The interface cable may not be securely plugged in. Check both
ends of the cable between the printer and the computer.
Make sure that your interface cable meets the specifications for
the printer and computer.
If you are using the parallel interface, set the
Speed
setting (on
the Parallel menu) to match the value that the computer requires.
