8.2 Connection blades
The PRIMERGY BX400 S1 system unit has 4 slots on the back for connection
blades for connecting the server blades to LAN and SAN networks and
Infinband environments.
This section deals with the connection blades available for your BX400 S1
system unit. It describes their most important features, the external ports, the
assignment of the internal ports to the server blades, and how to install and
remove connection blades in/from the system unit.
How to configure and operate the connection blades is explained in separate
manuals.
The following connection blades are available:
– Connection Blade GbE Switch/IBP 36/12 (SB11A)
– Connection Blade GbE Switch/IBP 36/8+2 (SB11)
– Connection Blade GbE Switch/IBP 18/6 (SB6)
– Connection Blade 10 GbE Switch/IBP 18/8
– Connection Blade Ethernet Pass Thru 10Gb 18/18
– Connection Blade 8Gb FC Switch 18/8
– Connection Blade 8Gb FC Pass Thru 18/18
– Connection Blade Infiniband Switch 40 Gb 18/18
