3. Loosen the three screws that hold the metal bracket in place and tilt the
bracket towards the front of the I/O unit to expose the inside of the I/O unit.
A small cable is passed through a hole in the bracket. Disconnect the cable and
pass it through the hole in the bracket before moving the bracket to prevent
damage to the cable. It is not necessary to remove the entire bracket.
Determine if your server currently has a label installed on the I/O unit DC-DC
converter (DDC_B#0).
■ If your server does not have a label covering part of the I/O unit DC-DC
converter and has no DC-DC converter retainer, go to Step 4 (
FIGURE 8-9).
■ If your server does have a label covering part of the I/O unit DC-DC converter,
start from one corner of the label and peel the label free of the I/O unit DC-DC
converter. The label can be re-used on the replacement I/O unit DC-DC
converter.
