6.1 Cleaning the Printhead
The Printhead should be cleaned on an ‘as needed’ basis. To
determine when to clean the Printhead look for characters or bar
codes that appear light or faded, or labels that contain spots or light
streaks. Once you notice these signs follow the steps below to clean
the Printhead.
1. Turn off the power and unplug the Printer.
2. Raise the cover and turn the Head-Lift Lever to the
‘up’ position.
3. Dampen a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol and
insert into the Printhead as shown below. Gently
rub the underside of the Printhead with the
moistened swab.
