Audio Modes
The Dolphin 60s terminal is equipped with speakers on the front and back of the terminal and a micro-
phone that you can use to send and receive audio signals over the GSM network, see Features of the
Dolphin 60s on page 3-4.
There are three audio modes:
• Handset Mode - The front speaker is used for receiving handset voice calls.
• Headset Mode - When a headset is plugged into the Audio Jack, the terminal defaults to the
headset for receiving calls and audio input.
• Hands-Free Mode - The back speakers are used a speaker phone. To switch to speaker phone
during a call, touch on the phone icon in the tile bar at the bottom of the screen, then select
Speaker On.
Volume Control
Press the up or down arrow on the Volume Control button on the left side of the device to adjust the
volume of the active speaker, see Volume Control Button on page 3-9.

Note: The WWAN radio must be active for voice communication, see Enabling the WWAN Radio on page 9-3.
To open the Phone dialer do one of the following:
• From the Home screen, touch twice on “phone”.
• From the Home screen, touch > Phone .
• Press the Send button .
