1-4 6620 Hand-Held Computer Technical Reference
Display
The 6620 Computer features a backlit, liquid crystal, touch-
sensitive display, that consists of either 8.4of color VGA
display, or 8.7of monochrome display. The touch panel is
of the analog resistive type that is passive and does not re-
quire a battery. Backlight features Cold Cathode Florescent
Lamp (CCFL) with brightness control.
Flash
There are 256 KB of flash memory to hold the Basic Input/
Output System (BIOS); this memory is not available to the
system or the application programs. Flash memory for a
flash drive is available in 2, 4, or 8 MB options. This drive
behaves as a standard disk drive and can store critical data.
Hard Drives
If installed in the system, the hard disk is a 2.5IDE hard
disk drive located under the two external PC Card slots.
Infrared Communications
An infrared port, located at the lower left-hand side of the
6620 Computer, permits two-way wireless communication
between the computer and IrDA-compatible peripheral de-
vices.
