Technical information
This appendix contains information that might be useful when
installing your Matrox Meteor-II /Standard board.
General information
Operating system: See your software manual for supported
versions of Windows.
System requirements: A computer with a PCI bus and a
Pentium processor or equivalent.
Some older systems use a core logic chipset (interfaces PCI
with Host memory) that has limited throughput capabilities.
Matrox Meteor-II /Standard might not be able to attain full
functionality on such systems. We recommend systems with
newer PCI chipsets, such as the Intel 430HX, 430VX, 430TX,
440FX, 440LX, or 440BX. If you need more specific
information regarding potential problems, refer to Appendix
A - Troubleshooting.
Technical features:
PCI and PC/104-Plus form factors feature twelve software
selectable channels, which support up to twelve inputs in
either monochrome RS-170/CCIR or composite NTSC/PAL
formats, or up to six Y/C video inputs in NTSC/PAL
formats.
CompactPCI form factor features seven software selectable
channels, which support up to seven inputs in either
monochrome RS-170/CCIR or composite NTSC/PAL
formats, or up to three Y/C video inputs NTSC/PAL
formats.
Accepts an external trigger input, which can operate in
next valid frame/field mode.
Features programmable or automatic gain control.
Features 4 MBytes of SGRAM.
Features Strap-selectable 5 or 12 V DC output (PCI form
factor only).
