Field Description
BootP Request
Mode
One of four modes of operation for BootP. (See Choosing a BootP request mode on
page 96 for details about the four modes.)
Default Value BootP Disabled
Range BootP Disabled, BootP When Needed, BootP Always, BootP or Last
Address
Configurable Column header for the user-configurable IP configuration fields in this screen.
In Use Column header for the read-only fields in this screen. The read-only data displayed in
this column represents IP configuration that is currently in use.
Last BootP Column header for the read-only fields in this screen. The read-only data displayed in
this column represents IP configuration obtained from the last BootP reply received.
In-Band Stack IP
Address
The in-band stack IP address field. This field is not required for the operation of the
standalone switch.
Default Value 0.0.0.0 (no IP address assigned)
Range Four-octet dotted-decimal notation, where each octet is represented
as a decimal value, between 0 and 255, separated by a decimal
point
In-Band Switch
IP Address
The in-band IP address of the switch. This field is not required for the operation of the
stack. This field can not use the same IP address used for the stack.
Default Value 0.0.0.0 (no IP address assigned)
Range Four-octet dotted-decimal notation, where each octet is represented
as a decimal value, between 0 and 255, separated by a decimal
point
Note: When the IP address is entered in the In-Band IP Address field, and the
In-Band Subnet Mask field value is not present, the software provides an in-use
default value for the In-Band Subnet Mask field that is based on the class of the
IP address entered in the In-Band IP Address field.
