Using both DHCP and a xed IP

Using the Alternate CongurationprovidingbyWindows
XP,youcansetbothautomaticandxedIPaddresses
and then you can select to use either of them to connect
to the Internet.

Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet
Connections > Network Connection > Local Area
byusingtherightbuttonofthetouchpadandclick
Properties.

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click
Properties.
