Main Power Switch
Do not touch this switch. This switch
should be only used by a service repre-
sentative.
Note
❒ If the operation switch is on and there
is still no power, turn on the Main
Power switch.
❒ If you leave the Main Power switch
off for more than an hour, all files in
memory are lost. ⇒ Chapter 10,

❒ The On indicator blinks when:
• The platen cover or document
feeder (ADF) is open.
• Communicating with other desti-
nation machines.
• The hard disk is running.

Operation Switch
Press this switch to turn the power on
(the On indicator lights up). To turn the
power off, press this switch again (the On

Internal Tray 2
Fax messages are delivered here when re-
ceived. The Internal tray 2 allows you to
distinguish fax messages from copied or
printed paper that are delivered to other
trays. The indicator beside the Internal
tray 2 is lit when the Internal tray 2 con-
tains fax messages or printouts. ⇒Chap-
