TX/RX File Save
This feature requires the optional Function Upgrade Unit and Optional 40MB Memory
Card.
When turned on, sent or received
messages are automatically saved to
memory. Once stored you can then
check on previous communications
and print them out as necessary. See
p.236 “TX/RX File Save Settings”.
Preparation
You can turn this function on or off
with TX/RX File Save. See p.236
“TX/RX File Save Settings”.
This feature allows you to perform
the followings:

❖ Searching Memory for Sent Faxes
You can search the sent faxes in the
memory by Sender Name / No.,
Date/Time, User Code and File
Number. You can print out a list of
the search result. See p.59 “Search-
ing Memory for Sent Faxes”.

You can search the received faxes
in the memory by Sender Name /

❒ If a TX/RX file is saved in memory,
it does not guarantee that the com-
munication was successful. Mes-
sages that were not delivered, or
generated an error are also stored.
Limitation

used, messages are not stored in
memory:
• Immediate Transmission
• Confidential Transmission
• Polling Transmission
• Confidential Reception
• Memory Lock Reception
• Transfer Request Reception
• Auto Documents
• Forwarding
• Fax On Demand (Option)
