LOCATING THE PRINTER
Beforeyoustartunpackingandsettingup yourprinter,makesurethatyou
havea suitableplaceon whichtolocateit. By“a suitableplace”,wemean:

A firm,levelsurfacewhichis fairlyvibration-free
Awayfromexcessiveheat(suchasdirectsunlight,heaters,etc)
Awayfromexcessivehumidity
Awayfromexcessivedust
Supplyit“clean”electricity.Don’tconnectittothesamecircuitasalarge,
noise-producingappliancesuchas a refrigerator.
Makesurethelinevoltageis within10%of thevoltagespecifiedon the
identificationplate.
A locationwithsufficientspaceto locatetheprinterand anypaperto be
fed into it, as wellastheprintedpapercomingout.
If youareusingaparallelconnectiontoyourcomputer,makesurethat
it
iswithin2m(6ft)oftheprinter(anRS-232comectionusingtheoptional
RS-232interfacecan bemadeoverlongerdistances).
