Ifyoursoftwareenablesyoutoplacetheescapecodein yourfiles,orif you
wereable to definethis as a user optionduringinstallation,you can also
embedthese escapesequences.
PROGRAMMING THE PRINTER WITH DOS
COMMANDS
If your systemincludesthe file PRINT.COMyoucan use the main DOS
printingcommand.Simplytypethe wordPRINTfollowedbythenameof
the file you want to print. To print a file named README.DOC,for
example,type:

respond with the followingmessage, asking which
1ist device [PRN] :
If yourcomputerisconnectedto onlyoneprinter,pressRETURNto select
the default choice (PRN). Printing will begin and the A> prompt will

beingprinted.
A singlePRINTcommandcanprinttwoor morefiles.Listthe file names
consecutivelyonthe sameline,or usewild-cardcharactem(* and?).Each
filewillbe printedstartingon anewpage.ThePRINTcommandalsohas
controloptions.For example,youcan terminatea printingjob in progress
withthen option.(Theprintermaynotstopprintingimmediatelyit may
haveconsiderabledatastoredaheadin its buffer.)For the/T option,type:
