4.19 System board
CAUTION: When replacing with a new system board, the following procedures must
be executed.
(1) Before replacing the system board, execute subtest02 “DMI
ggginformation save” in 3.3 Setting of the hardware configuration of
gggChapter 3 Test program in order to save the DMI information from
gggsystem board to floppy disk.
(2) After replacing the system board, execute the KB Type judging test.
(3) After replacing the system board, execute the subtest03 “DMI
information recovery” and subtest01 “Entry of the DMI information”
in order to copy the DMI information and system configuration
information.
(4) Also update the BIOS and EC/KBC with the latest ones according to
the steps described in Appendix G and Appendix H.
(5) Do not handle the area A and B of the system board.
Handling is prohibition.
