Certain software applications offer additional fonts to those
supplied with your printer. These fonts are stored on the host
and then
downloaded
into printer memory by the software
application when printing.
Unless specified as permanently downloaded fonts (see
page 4-13), software application fonts are downloaded to
printer memory before being used for a specific printer job,
and are removed from printer memory after completion of
that print job.
Installation of the Xerox printer driver provides the printer
with the capability of recognizing which fonts are resident
and which are not.
Selecting resident fonts saves memory
and time
