1. Remove the controller board panel following the instructions
earlier in this section.
2. Unpack the SIMM or SODIMM.
3. Remove the existing SIMM(s) or SODIMM if necessary using
the following procedure (fig. 10.32).
a. Pull open the latches on each end of the SIMM or
SODIMM bank.
Note: As the SIMM is released by the latches, it tilts
out of the bank (fig. 10.32). A SODIMM does
not tilt (fig. 10.33)
b. Pull the SIMM out at a 45° angle or a SODIMM straight
up and out of the bank.
