Chapter 8 Adding Video Filters and Transitions
Getting Ready
Drag Sample Clip 2 into the Timeline and then double-click it to open it in the Viewer.
Try This
Apply the Color Corrector 3-way lter to a clip in a sequence:
Choose Eects > Video Filters > Color Correction > Color Corrector 3-way.1
Click the Color Corrector 3-way tab in the Viewer window to see the Color Corrector 2
3-way options.
Change a clip’s saturation:
Drag the Saturation (Sat) slider left or right to see the eect of changing the clip’s
saturation level.
Change a clip’s dark tones:
Drag the Blacks slider left or right to see the eect of changing the clip’s black level.
Change a clip’s midtones:
Drag the Mids slider left or right to see the eect of changing the clip’s midtones.
Change a clip’s light tones:
Drag the Whites slider left or right to see the eect of changing the clip’s light tones.
Experiment with changing the look of a clip:
Try using the dierent Color Corrector 3-way settings in combination to familiarize
yourself with how they work and explore the dierent looks that you can achieve for
a clip.
