9.1 Scanlink Tools
Scanlink Tools consist of three parts: the ScanLink program, the OMNIScanner
Configuration program, and the OMNIScanner Remote Control program.
Scanlink is designed to upload data measured with OMNIScanner,
PentaScanner or CertiFiber. Collected data can be viewed or saved to disk.
Scanlink supports different report formats, like Autotest Certification and
Summary Reports that can be printed from the PC to a printer or a file.
OMNIScanner Configuration allows for easy setup and management of projects,
the configuration of OMNIScanner, the specification of tests, and the construction
and structuring of cable libraries. Projects can easily be downloaded to several
OMNIScanners. OMNIScanner Configuration allows you to create Limits that can
be used in custom Autotests. These limits can be viewed and printed with the
extensive graphing utility.
OMNIScanner Remote Control is designed to control OMNIScanner from your
PC. It allows you to run Autotests that can be uploaded, viewed, and printed.
OMNIScanner Remote Control contains an extensive graphing utility allowing you
to view and print saved graphs of uploaded test results.
Refer to the Scanlink Tools online help for detailed instructions about the
installation and the use of the application. The User Guide together with the
software is part of the OMNIScanner kit.
