Changing the ribbon
The sign informs you of the status of remaining ribbon, and
warns you if it is almost running out. The starter ribbon prints up to
30 pages.
This sign means remaining ribbon will be 100% - 50%.
This sign means remaining ribbon will be under 49% - 20%.
This sign means remaining ribbon will be under 19% - 1%.
This sign means remaing ribbon will be 0%.
Change used ribbon immediately. (See Accessory List on page A-1.)

Open the top cover by lifting the lever on the right side of the top
cover.
Be careful not to cut yourself on the sharp edges of the metal
part shown in the illustration.
