Checking the Battery Level
You can check the battery level in the Power Management properties dialog box in
the Control Panel or by double-clicking the battery or AC plug icon on the taskbar.
You can also check the battery indicator on the front side of the computer.
Press the button on the right of the battery indicator to show the battery power
remaining. Refer to the table below.
This battery indicator turns on automatically while the battery is being charged
(when connected to AC power). When the battery is fully charged, the battery
indicator turns off.
The battery power remaining is an approximate figure. The remaining
operating time expected may be different from the actual remaining
time, depending on the use of the computer. If the actual remaining
power in your battery is less than what the battery indicator lights
suggest, you should initialize the battery pack. See Initializing the
Battery Pack later in this chapter.
