If a password already exists, this message appears:
Power-on password already installed
The Setup program does not allow you to enter a new
password if you have already set one. However, you can
easily change or delete the current password if you know
it. See "Using a Power-on Password” in Chapter 3 for
instructions.

To enter a password, type any combination of characters
(including letters, numbers, and blank spaces) up to a total
of seven characters. You can use the backspace key to delete
mistakes.
Do not use characters requiring the Shift key, such as
@, $, or * in your password. The computer does not
recognize the
Shift
key when you use your password to
access the system.
Caution
Be sure to remember the password you enter or write it
down and keep it in a safe place. If you cannot remember
your password, you will not be able to access the
computer the next time you turn it on.
If you want to return to the password submenu without
saving any changes, press ESC.
5. After you enter a password, press Enter to return to the
password submenu.
6.
If you want to change the network server mode setting,
highlight
Network server mode.
To turnnetwork
server mode on or
off,
press
Enter.
