15.3 Mounting the Operator Panel
1. Align the keyhole of the operator panel with the thumbscrew, and gently push
the operator panel toward the server.
If the operator panel will not move, gently adjust the position of the operator
panel so that the light pipe on the front of the operator panel is aligned with the
socket on the server front.
2. Connect the signal cable of the operator panel.
3. Attach the thumbscrew.
4. Tighten the four screws to install the front panel.
15.4 Reassembling the Server
1. Attach the air duct.
For details, see Section 5.3.3, “Attaching the Air Duct” on page 5-6.
2. Attach the top cover.
For details, see Section 5.2.2, “Attaching the Top Cover” on page 5-4.
3. If the equipment rack is supplied with a Quake-Resistant Options Kit or
stabilizer, return to its original position.
For details, see Section 5.1.2, “Sliding the Server into the Equipment Rack” on
page 5-3.
4. Power on the server.
This procedure includes the steps of reconnecting the power cord, checking the
LED status, and turning the mode switch on the operator panel to the Locked
position. For details, see Section 4.5.3.1, “Power-on by Using the XSCF
Command” on page 4-13.
5. Check the hardware.
This procedure includes the steps of running a program to verify that all the
components have been remounted and starting the Solaris OS.
