Printer will not duplex
Cause Solution
Printer is not recognizing the duplex printing
accessory.
Print a configuration page to verify
configuration. Set up the printer driver to
recognize the duplex printing accessory. Verify
that the duplex printing accessory power cord
is plugged in.
You are trying to duplex on an unsupported
media.
Verify that the media you are using is
supported for duplex printing.
The door to the rear output bin is open. Close the door to the rear output bin.
Tray 3 is incorrectly installed
Cause Solution
Verify that the tray is correctly installed. Print a configuration page to confirm that
Tray 3 is configured properly.
Printer is on, but will not print a PostScript file
Cause Solution
The PS (PostScript Emulation) personality is
not selected.
Select PS or AUTO for the printer language.
See the chapter on using the printer control
panel.
The correct driver is not selected in your
software application or printer driver.
Select the driver for PostScript Emulation for
this printer in your software application or
printer driver.
The printer is not properly configured. See chapter 6 for configuration information.
The computer port is not configured or is not
working properly.
Run another peripheral connected to this port
to verify that the port is working properly.
The printer has not been correctly named for
your network or for a Macintosh computer.
Use the appropriate utility to name the printer
on the network. For Macintosh computers,
name the printer from within the Chooser
menu.
