Manage Logs
A log file is a file that stores messages (event logs)
generated by an application, service, or operating
system. These messages are used to track the
operations performed. Log files are usually plain text
(ASCII) files and often have a .log extension.
You can use the Logs feature to view and clear
several types of event logs provided by the system:
n Application logs (see “Application Log” on page
136).
n System logs (see “System Log” on page 137).
n Security logs (see “Security Log” on page 138).
