ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3 and Mini Dock Plus Series 3 with USB 3.0
1 DisplayPort connector: Connect a display device.
2 DVI connector: Connect a monitor that supports Single-Link DVI.
Note: The DVI connector provides a digital interface only. This connector can only be used with a computer
that supports DVI connection established through docking stations.
3 DisplayPort connector: Connect a display device.
4 DVI connector: Connect a monitor that supports Single-Link DVI.
Note: The DVI connector provides a digital interface only. This connector can be used with a computer that
supports DVI via docking only.
5 Ethernet connector: Connect the docking station to an Ethernet LAN. The indicator on the connector
is the same as that on the computer.
Notes:
• You cannot use the Token Ring cable for this connector.
• You can use this connector for a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T Ethernet connection.
Note: If you attach your computer to the docking station and use an Ethernet connector, use the Ethernet
connector on the docking station, not the one on the computer.
6 USB connectors: Connect USB 2.0 compatible devices.
7 Power jack: Connect the ac power adapter.
8 eSATA connector or USB 3.0 connector: For ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3, this is an eSATA
connector for connecting eSATA device. For the Mini Dock Plus Series 3 with USB 3.0, this is a USB 3.0
connector for connecting a USB compatible device.
9 External monitor connector: Connect an external monitor.
Note: If you attach your computer to the docking station and use an external monitor connector, use the
external monitor connector on the docking station, not the one on the computer.
