Network Access
The Dialing Table Translation results in a number that can be dialed on the local
network. The final step is to add (prefix) digits to the beginning of the number to
reach the local network from your Norstar System. Systems that are behind a PBX
must have digits prefixed to the beginning of the telephone number. In North
America “9” is typically prefixed to the beginning of the telephone number.
Systems attached to the central office (CO) lines do not require digits to be prefixed.
INPUT OUTPUT Explanation
The Dialing Translation Table is empty. The local network in
Mountainview supports 10 digit national dialing with
recognized long distance charging.
In situations like the Mountainview example, there is no need
to build a Dialing Translation Table.
